CJC-1295 with DAC

A 2006 study ran two randomised, placebo-controlled, double-blind ascending-dose trials in healthy adults aged 21 to 61 over 28 and 49 days, measuring plasma growth hormone and IGF-I peak concentrations and area under the curve alongside standard pharmacokinetic parameters, and reported an elimination half-life of 5.8 to 8.1 days. A second 2006 study used 20-minute overnight blood sampling in healthy men to characterise growth hormone pulse frequency, pulse magnitude, trough and mean levels before and one week after a single injection. A Phase 2 trial in HIV-associated visceral obesity was terminated, with no public reason and no results posted. The post-2010 literature is overwhelmingly anti-doping analytical chemistry.

What is not established

The human data is limited to small Phase 1 pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies and one terminated Phase 2 trial with no published results. Clinical development was discontinued and no efficacy for any indication was established. Nothing is characterised about long-term safety or about repeated administration beyond the 49-day trial window.

What distinguishes CJC-1295 with DAC

The DAC is the molecule, not an option on it. The Drug Affinity Complex is a maleimidopropionyl linker that forms a covalent bond with circulating albumin, and it produced a measured plasma half-life of 5.8 to 8.1 days, orders of magnitude longer than native GHRH 1-29 and longer than any other analogue in the literature. Every piece of human data published under the CJC-1295 name belongs to this form. Anti-doping analytical work lists the two forms as separate target analytes, which is independent confirmation that the distinction is chemical rather than semantic.
